About
Why Protein Per Dollar exists
Protein is the most expensive line on most grocery receipts. We started this site to make every dollar of it count.

Protein Per Dollar started with a simple, annoying problem: protein is the priciest part of most grocery bills, and the internet is full of “cheap” recipes that quietly assume you’ll buy three sauces you’ll never finish.
So we do one thing well. Every recipe here gets scored by grams of protein per dollar — protein in a serving, divided by what that serving actually costs at the store. The higher the number, the harder your money is working.
What you’ll find here
Real recipes built around affordable proteins — eggs, chicken, canned fish, beans, dairy — plus plain-English guides on shopping smarter and prepping ahead. No supplements to sell, no miracle hacks, no fluff.
About the prices
Costs are honest, real-world estimates. They move with your store, your city, and what’s on sale that week, so treat them as a strong starting point and check them against your own receipts.
